Welcome to the Social Development Laboratory at the School of Education, Tel Aviv University.

Our research group is interested in the roads children take to become caring, driven, and socially responsible adults. We examine the values they choose to guide their lives, their choice of prosocial or antisocial behavior, and the moral cognitions and emotions that guide them.

We believe the social environment has a vital role in the development of children and adolescents. We examine the role played by the family (parents and siblings), the school, and the culture in supporting child development. We ask how children take advantage of the opportunities offered by the environment for positive development successfully, but also how they overcome difficulties.

We invite you to learn more about our research in this website. Please contact us if you would like further information. We would be delighted to hear from you.
